i'm very surprised "phantom of the paradise" is not considered one of the worst movies ever made. the plot makes no sense, the songs are terrible, & it's like they cast the ugliest actors they could find. the whole thing is bizarre. who in their right mind would cast paul Williams & Jessica harper over jon voight & linda Ronstadt? maybe brian depalma was trying to make a real life "the producers" or maybe drugs were way too potent back in the day? Jessica harper's voice is amazing(even better in Shock Treatment
) but her "dancing" is awkward at best.
