the oscar movie 1966

i'm now screening The Oscar starring stephen boyd whom i've had a crush on since seeing The Fall Of The Roman Empire as a child. he was the first mark antony cast in elizabeth taylor's "Cleopatra "(just imagine how history could have changed if liz had fallen in love with him instead of richard burton).

anyhoo,back to the scheduled programming. stephen plays frankie fane who when he acts like a psychopath the women swoon & the men give him jobs. super bizarre & so sexist/boring. Elke Sommer was annoying & you just want to slap her for sticking around. i expected it to be more trashy like Valley of the Dolls though i did get a nice chuckle at the ending.
