i always found cathy ames to be such a bad bitch & the only interesting character in east of eden.i HATED the 1950s version,even james dean couldnt save it. i know i read the book a billion years ago but i feel like important things were changed in this newer version & its slightly pissing me off.
florence pugh really is that bitch & i will watch her do just about anything at this point(i didnt want to watch this but i love her so). many have been complaining about her migrating fillers & yes they are annoying but dont focus on that.
its VERY weird how the world hates women who dont want to be victims. strong women are somehow worse than the males causing all this harm but we are supposed to pretend we cant see it. in any case, i like that they added the gang rape when she was 5 but most will act like they didnt notice that. cathy wasnt born evil & all those males repeatedly abusing & raping her surely didnt help.

i wanted to write something super profound about this but i am literally sick & tired. i will say instead, watch this if you enjoy flo. if not, im sure there are plenty of less challenging movies waiting for you
