reddit is racist like the rest of the world

i'm minding my own business as per usual & i see this comment

Ewwww you're black lmao. These

bums already have more worth

 than you

ok. i report it & get this message a couple of minutes later

"Thanks for submitting a report to the Reddit admin team. After investigating, we’ve found that the reported content doesn’t violate Reddit’s Content Policy."

now if i had said people with penises dont need to be in female only spaces or women have periods, i wouldve been banned but its perfectly ok to say bums have more worth than black people. i'm not surprised, its just weird how EVERYBODY is ok with being as racist/sexist as possible & we just have to pretend its normal.

white people love dogs more than they love black people

 yes

we know

you dont have to keep saying it in various ways

we get it

you can stop now

some idiot decided that he was going to post something i said on twitter to reddit because how dare i point out that loving dogs is not a sign that someone is good! we all know how hitler loved HIS dogs. was hitler a good man? one to praise? is hitler better than me? better than black people? lmfao

racists calling me shaniqua & talking about how "you people" do this & "you people" do that but are somehow good(& the racism is cancelled) because they like dogs? can someone please explain to me how this works because i really do not understand. y'all cry hot salty tears for dogs but laugh when black people are hurt. is that christlike?

people who didnt understand the joke 800 years ago trying to drag me for being black & alive is so weird. please get a life & read a book. the sun is killing y'all. covid(aka not washing your hands or having basic hygiene) is killing y'all. the earth is trying to kill y'all. your birth rates go down every day, your fertility is trash. worry about that not what i'm typing on twitter. lol

"allies"

“If you are silent about your pain, they’ll kill you and say you enjoyed it.” Zora Neale Hurston

a "well meaning" white woman told me i should stop talking about racism today because i might start to lose money. lmfao! as if me being born a black woman didnt make me lose money/opportunities my entire life. it's 2021 & white people STILL DONT GET IT. you can afford to sit back with your head in the sand pretending like everything is ok. absolutely nothing going on is affecting you negatively.

your life is not my life. i literally cannot even walk to the store without others trying to hate crime me yet i'm supposed to be silent of all these things done against me.

instead of using her privilege to be an ally, she basically told me to sit down & smile. i am not a coward, i have NEVER been a coward. my ancestors didnt have a voice so i have to speak for them. if that offends you then that will continue to be your problem..........

an olive branch

i didnt read this novel but you can.¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . i didnt care then & i dont care now. y'all can stop with the fake apologies, now

Re: An apology and extending an olive branch. Hi Dallas, I hope you're doing well. This is Lacey from Rock of Love. I'm probably the last person you want to hear from, but I want to take a moment to apologize to you, and extend an olive branch. I'm going to send this, and then write more to you...
As I said, I first would like to start out by giving you an apology. I know that I annoyed the crap out of you on the shows, and at times, really made you upset and angry. I want to take this moment to say "I'm sorry" to you, and to accept responsibility for any pain I have caused you. That was never my intention. I always thought you were, and are, a strong, confident, and "bad ass" woman. When I was on the Vh1 shows, I was very much intentionally playing the "villain" character, with encouragement from the producers. I knew it would get me far in the game (on both shows), and I knew it would make for funny, entertaining television. The reason I chose people like you and Jes to give "a hard time" to, was because I knew that each of you were strong women who could handle it, and could handle me. I knew you were tough and confident, and I knew that of the two of us, I was going to come across as the "bad guy".
Your name has come up quite a few times on the podcast, and I will let you know that nothing bad was ever said about you. If anything, I describe you as being "an incredible adversary" to me. You were such an iconic character, and an integral part of those shows! Not only do I think that, but the fans are well aware of it, too. Fans of the Vh1 shows and fans of the podcast keep asking over and over, "When's Dallas coming on?" You are really important to a LOT of people.... maybe more than you even know.(?)
I was hoping, at the very least, I can talk to you over the phone, so that I can give you a proper apology, (apologizing over text is cheap). I also want to listen to what you have to say to me with an open mind. My hope is that maybe enough time has passed and that maybe you and I can mend this, and hopefully be on friendly terms... or at least be cordial.
The energy and vibe of the podcast is very different from that on Rock of Love. On the podcast, it is all about positivity. If you have your doubts, then I invite you to ask Sam, Brandi M, and Big John about their experiences on the podcast. It is important to me that everyone comes across in the best light possible, because I feel that it is a direct reflection on me, and on the podcast. The fans of the podcast are incredibly kind as well, to all of my guests. My guests are welcome to promote any projects, charities, products, etc, that they may be working on, and each episode of the podcast averages over 10,000 views.
I would love to have you on, as a guest, if you would be open to it. But first, at the very least, I am hoping you will allow me to call you on the phone, so that I can listen to anything that you have to say to me, and apologize for hurting or angering you. I do think you're a good woman. I mean that. I don't reach out like this, to people who I don't respect, and I do have respect for you.
Thanks so much for reading this. I appreciate your time.
I wish you all the best, Lacey Sculls

❤ I hope you see this. ❤

eta: to all the racists in my inbox How the concept of forgiveness is used to gaslight women. you can also replace the word women with "black people" & it still works.i was going to write a separate post about that but most racists are too dumb to even understand it

the customer is not always right: coronavirus edition

ive had to cancel about 8 orders this month(& close my etsy shop completely) due to rude buyers.i get people are stressed & its a weird time but guess what, EVERYBODY has been having a sh!tty 2020 so maybe relax before you email angrily about something that doesnt even matter. its not my fault the coronavirus has made a mess of the world & its certainly not my fault why you didnt read it before buying(a way too common problem).

i guess since the karens cant yell at shop people anymore, they moved their entitlement online.it doesnt bother me at all cancelling an order to rude buyers. most of society just encourages them to act even worse.

facebook "friends"

ive been on facebook for at least a decade.today was the 2nd time ive read my facebook messages in that time. there were thousands of messages but the general gist i got is that white people need more hobbies. instead of sending racist emails to black people you dont know, why not read a book? or exercise? or paint your trailer? or raise your children? why not make that extra energy into doing something productive with your life?

-----------------------------------------------------

to all the hotties who slid in my dms, sorry. its not you, its me. i got some non sexual emails from steven adler asking me to go to his concert. i am so sorry(you have no idea how sorry i am that i missed that). young Dallas wouldve KILLED to hang out/make out with steven adler but its probably for the best we never met.i feel like we'd be way too similar to sid and nancy & this timeline is already fucked up enough already.
-----------------------------------------------------

to all the distant relatives who slid out of the woodwork after you saw me on tv ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. when i needed a family, y'all were too busy so lets keep that same energy.

negro green book

back in the day there used to be a guide for jim crow era black people telling them what businesses they would be welcomed in. the laws were changed and the racism remained, hidden in plain sight. pretty amazing almost 100 years later and still having the same ignorant, racist problems with airbnb. i thought of making a modern day green book but it was too depressing.

anyhoo, pre integration there were plenty of black owned businesses.once we were made equal (lmfao) "the white mans ice was colder" and those businesses were abandoned. black women are now again starting small businesses in record numbers with very little help from banks or customers.

i'm not even going to go into the abuse i've had to deal with while running my own small business, the incessant begging for discounts and being called a stupid n!gger when I declined or how those rude insulting emails stopped once i switched my profile picture to a blonde white woman......

there is a new black owned business directory and white people are losing their minds. funny because if black people didn't want to work they would still be just as angry.the directory is called "black wall street" and I wonder if they did that on purpose.the original black wall street was destroyed by angry, jealous white people and (of course) never rebuilt.unfortunately I was reading the comments on a white website called lifehacker.it ruined my night so I decided to pass it on :-).

"What kind of discrimination/racism am I seeing here? If it was a ‘white directory’ you would have described it as the worst thing in the world and you would have called to burn this idea and boycott every business that was on that list."

isn't every directory a white one ?

"The reality is it’s created to perpetuate racism and segregation based upon separation. Shameful."

lol. paying reparations for slavery and the racism/discrimination that is still happening now is shameful? weird considering the US government paid reparations to the japanese comfort women and jewish holocaust survivors.i'm not a history expert but i'm pretty sure we were not the ones running the concentration camps

"Ill download this app and make sure anytime i go to a black business they arent on the list or ill spit on their floor and leave :) :)"

typical white people behavior. not everything is about or even for you.if you disagree about supporting black businesses then don't.no need to be a caveman.i remember reading last year of a black woman running a restaurant and how people refused to go there after they found out (and no it wasn't a third world country it was in england)

"Self-segregation by any group is a step backwards for racial equality."

and yet whites and others do it ALL THE TIME.black people are so forgiving and welcoming, notice all those "invited to the cookout" jokes yet every other race bends over backwards to exclude us

again i have to wonder, why would you not want black businesses to succeed?imagine the horror if there wasn't a permanent black underclass or {GASP!}the demise of white supremacy. god forbid  you might actually have to use talent or intelligence to get ahead instead of your skin color............. i am tired and this reverse racism nonsense is making my head hurt

sharkeisha

as usual i am minding my own business when I hear some mexican teenage boys yelling towards my window.

"latoya!"
"shenaynay!"
"sharkeisha!"
"ladasha!"

they are laughing and screaming,i guess trying to get my attention.i have never talked to these boys (i didn't even talk to teen boys when I was a teenager) so I have no idea why they want to bother me.adults pass and say nothing. they stand in front of a business yelling, harassing me. the man behind the counter does nothing.

my neighbor ,abuelo, comes out drunk as usual, asses the situation , and starts to really yell my name.i wonder if he does it because he thinks it is helping or because he is trying to be racist like the boys.i pay them all dust.

later on i politely ask abuelos family to stop disrespecting me(a different issue but it is all due to racism). abuelos son in law tells me i am acting like an angry black woman stereotype.son in law is 5'3, covered in prison tattoos (i have yet to see him in a shirt and very doubtful if he owns any), pregnant stomach, with 6 kids.they all live in a small 1 bedroom apartment and have multiple dogs that they let poop in the hallway.no one has a job and the only money comes from abuelo & abuela digging through the garbage. but I am the stereotype?..............

one of the able bodied(yet non working and not trying to finish high school) sons said that I needed to show them more empathy.black people are always told to turn the other cheek no matter what.before i had ever said a word to any of them they called me all sorts of n!gger whores but i'm supposed to be the bigger person always and let the disrespect and racism fall off my back .it pains them to see me doing something positive with my life.

microaggression of the day: mickey ds edition

it is super early and running on little sleep,i am at mcdonalds. i stand in the back right holding my receipt while the register is upfront on the left. 5 mexicans under 5'2 walk in and huddle an inch behind me.

the guy at the counter says next and one of the men puts his hand on my back and shoves me.i turn around, the guy is about 40 and 4'8 aka he should have known better.i show the receipt and they walk forward to the left. no sorry ,no excuse me.

he tried it on a good day. I was exhausted and just wanted to go home so I didn't knock him into next week like I should have.only 1 guy touched me and only 1 sexually harassed me so I guess it was a good day

that one time taboo from the black eyed peas tried to "put me in my place "

so tonight was a secret black eyed peas show.i assumed fergie would be there but she wasn't(yes i know they only added her to get famous
) . bep isn't my scene but I figured why not, they have a couple of good songs. i'm standing in the front row watching will i am. taboo grabs my arm and turns me around so that I look at him(unfortunately this isn't the first time that has happened at a concert ). i HATE strangers touching me and do a fake smile so he will go away.i wonder if it's rude if I just leave but the crowd was packed and I was enjoying myself despite fergie not being there .

will i am says brown lives matter , then all lives matter and my crush on him disappears . taboo decides he wants to talk so I continue to be friendly despite feeling uncomfortable with his attention and he figures he needs to "put me in my place ". i'm not going to repeat what happened but it was uncalled for. what was my crime ? not giving him attention ? being dressed modestly ? or my biggest sin, being a black woman in public ?

it caught me off guard because bullying like that usually comes from black male celebrities .i guess hes hung out so long with will i am that he thinks he is an honorary negro. i'm minding my own ,not saying a word and it makes them incensed ! it's never one on one and they always need a crowd to back them up .i'm not even going to say what happened those other times either but it was pretty bad and not something a normal person could easily get over .

afterwards my "friends" ran up to tell me how hilarious him bullying me was and it reminded me how black women aren't supposed to have feelings .at no point did anyone defend me or ask if I were ok. like everyone else I was there to have a good time but instead i was humiliated and disrespected for no reason . again ,i should be used to it by now but I am not. sad part is, i'm sure he made even more fans by doing that .

microaggressions

so i wasnt even going to blog about what happened & then i read this. i went to an audition a couple of days ago.full face of makeup, jewelry, dressed up, polkadot blouse(do they even make polka dot blouses for men?), & neon pink socks. the waiting room is full of blonde white women who all look alike & are wearing spandex mini skirts that barely cover their @sses(it was a commercial for grubhub, not a p0rno). the male casting directors are all inappropriately flirting with the white women. some keep walking by the room to get a glimpse,no one is working. numbers are being exchanged & talks of future parties.everybody ignores me & i'm fine with that.i continue to read my book.

the casting director calls us in. he looks at me & calls me sir.let that sink in. sir. i pretend to ignore it but i am heated.this is the reason why i never leave the house anymore. people always go out of their way to insult me.

"aint i a woman"?

dont i deserve respect just like anyone else? i went on with the audition though i should have left then.i couldnt get into character,i just wanted to be away from those people. of course the job will be given to one of those white women & i will be branded as some sort of angry black woman with a bad attitude. as usual
